Mongolia

The capital of Mongolia is Ulan Bator, located at about 1350 meters (4430 feet) above sea level, slightly east of the center of Mongolia on the Tuul River, in a valley at the foot of the mountain Bogd Khan Uul.

Arriving at Ulan Bator for a clean up, and a good rest.

Wash and service the equipment, drop the pup trailer, and then head out into the Altai Region on the Mongolia China border for the last delivery.

(Right Photo) It seems like others on the road are having service problems as well.

(Photos above) Cleaned up and on the move again.

(Left and Right Photos) 2 local drivers heading out to pick up their trailer, having a lunch break.

Random photos traveling to the last delivery.

Passing through an ancient village on route.

Having to travel cross country to the school is not like running along on your usual turnpike highways.

The ground was soaked from a heavy rain the night before, and traction & steering control was difficult to handle. (Like running on a heavy snow slush on pavement.)

After running through all kinds of hazards, and receiving generous local help, the delivery point has finally been reached. Unloading and then heading back to ULAANBATAR.

Time for a good meal and rest period at the local truck stop.

One of the rear drive axles is starting to act up, and the only thing to do now is to limp back to Ulan Bator for repairs.
