Mark Manders, a trucker friend from Holland, flew from Amsterdam to Vancouver non stop (10 hrs) over the Polar route.

The photos above, from left to rightare, (1) Landing in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, (2)  Limousine to hotel, and (3) Picking up a car the following morning, and then head east to Hope, BC.

Hope, BC is the town where the RAMBO legend was born.

Time to head north to Hells Gate, in the Fraser Canyon.

Hells Gate is the most dangerous place on the Fraser river.

Heading north again up the canyon, leaving the Trans Canada Highway at Cache Creek, and going directly to Dawson Creek, British Columbia, at milepost "0", the beginning of the Alcan (Alaska) Highway.

The caged B-61 Mack is a restored 1963 logging truck, at 100 Mile House, BC.

From Hundred Mile House, next onto Barkerville, BC,

Heading into Dawson Creek, the gateway to the Alaska Highway where trucks of all types, supply the extreme north country.

Camper travelers, and bus tours alike are all searching for the great Northern adventure experience.

From Dawson Creek, BC, southbound to Edmonton, Alberta

The West Edmonton Mall is the world's largest indoor mall, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where you can still swim and play in the waves when it is -40 below zero outside.

Everything from hockey, carnival, water park, and all kinds of activities, and not to forget fabulous shopping. I must also say that it has a full size pirate ship afloat in the central pool.
