THIS IS AN ENTRY ABOUT THREE YOUNG COOL CANADIAN ADVENTURERS, WHO.....

In the winter of 1999, their team commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Dempster Highway by cycling unsupported along its entire length. Beyond the Dempster, they traveled on an ice road along the MacKenzie River Delta, completing the trip in the remote community of Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, Canada

This is probably the first and only time ever, that anyone has rode a bicycle over northern ice roads to the shores of the Arctic Ocean, in the dead of winter. I feel that this feat, though a non commercial event, deserves recognition along with the supply trucks of the ice roads. In MY PERSONAL opinion the Tour De France has nothing on this Canadian bike trip. ---

Do you not think that riding a bicycle over Canada's Northern Ice Roads, is a cool thing?

THERE IS DEEP, DEEP WATER BENEATH THIS ICE ROAD.

Man, talk about hard water. Good thing I brought along some medicated ointment.

AH... But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn - Express, last night.

Gotta keep the feet warm or else, real problems.
